She is #1 in the World Women Ranking.
She was born in Trébeurden, on the coast of Brittany. She is the first born of the eight children of Nicole and Irénée Bajos de Heredia. Her mother was the first woman to become an International tournament director.
All her family is strictly involved into Bridge.
Sylvie started playing bridge at top level after graduating in Computer Science.
She is member of the WBF Executive Council and of the WBF High Level Player Commission.
She won the last Venice Cup (Chennai 2015), thus she is World reigining champion in the Women teams serie.
In 2013, together with her partner Benedicte Cronier, she won the Sidney H. Lazard Jr. Sportmanship Award. “These women are the epitome of grace, good manners, cheerfulness and sportsmanship, making the bridge experience more pleasurable for everyone,” said the Sportsmanship Committee Chairman Sidney Lazard.
